As a student, I’ve discovered that true school life extend far beyond the classroom. Through involvement in various extracurricular activities, I’ve gained invaluable skills and experiences that shape my character.
As a member of the formerly known Kasawo Debaters’ Club, I honed my public speaking skills, learned to eloquent my thoughts, and developed confidence in presenting arguments. Debating has taught me to think critically, research thoroughly, and respond thoughtfully.
The Patriotism Club, which I established and led in 2022 with the school DOS’s advice, has instilled in me a deeper sense of national pride and social responsibility. As its first leader, we organized community service projects with the Patron i.e Kasawo Village Waste Management and Patriotic events like Mukyaka-Mukyaka. Through the club, I learned to inspire and mobilize others towards a common goal.
Participating in the ICT Club has broadened my technological horizons, equipping me with essential computing skills. Notably, I developed Aksham AI, an artificial intelligence system designed to assist students with academic queries.
Serving as a library prefect in my Senior Two was a transformative experience. Leadership taught me organizational skills, time management, and teamwork. I learned to delegate responsibilities, and communicate effectively with peers and teachers.
In conclusion, I encourage fellow students to engage in similar opportunities that come along in their life while at school so as to gain essential life skills like communication, problem-solving and resilience. Developing a stronger sense of self-discipline, accountability, and empathy.
